Our Team
Dr. Shannon Walsh
B.App.Sc (CompMed) M.Osteo
Shannon has been practicing for over 12 years and became an Osteopath after sustaining a
netball injury in her school years, and wanted to move forward and help others as she had experienced.
Shannon has worked in several fitness centres and with a local football club where she dealt with a vast array of sporting injuries and rehabilitation.

She also has a passion for animals and hopes to one day further her knowledge and extend her osteopathic treatment to include her furry friends.

Shannon’s treatments are tailored to the individual, encompassing a wide variety of techniques
for all ages and conditions (babies to the elderly). She holds additional qualifications in dry
needling, mat pilates, paediatric training and taping methods.

Being raised in a sporting family, when she’s not at work, Shannon loves her netball and triathlon training to compete with her husband and father, who have both completed multiple Ironman events. She
also loves catching up with friends, holidaying (usually somewhere warm) and spending quality family time with her two gorgeous boys Hudson and Quinn.

She enjoys helping her patients move through their lives as close to pain-free as possible by using
a wide range of osteopathic treatment techniques.

Dr. Laura Addinsall
B.App.Sc (CompMed - Osteo) & B.H.Sc (** On maternity leave)
Laura graduated in 2016, She first became interested in Osteopathy after being treated for
headaches and various sporting injuries throughout her teen years.

During her studies at Victoria University she worked with East Keilor football club and local netball
clubs gaining valuable hands on experience treating both acute and chronic sporting injuries.

Whilst she has been practicing as an Osteopath she has treated a wide variety of patients and
complaints but has developed an interest in treating jaw pain and headaches.

Laura uses a variety of techniques such as manipulation, soft tissue massage and dry needling to
not only treat the symptoms but to dig deeper and treat the cause of the pain.

When she’s not working Laura can be found travelling the globe and staying active with her fur baby Chippy.
Dr. Matt Spencer
B.App.Sc (CompMed - Osteo) & B.H.Sc
Matt graduated in 2016. He decided to become an osteopath while growing up in a sporting
family and receiving many osteopathic treatments himself for sporting related injuries and seeing
the results first-hand.

During his studies Matt has been an avid basketball player and coach and has always had an
interest in sporting movements, body structures and injury and rehabilitation processes. He is
motivated to give back to the community and club that gave him so many opportunities.

Matt participated in a volunteer osteopathic internship in India during his University studies,
stepping out of his comfort zone to broaden his knowledge.

He has a desire to further his knowledge into biomechanical processes and develop a further
array of treatment skills to increase his ability to treat and prescribe individual rehabilitation
programs for patients.
Dr. Shehan Kariyakaranage
B.App.Sc (CompMed - Osteo) & B.H.Sc
Shehan graduated from RMIT University in 2018. He developed an early interest in osteopathy after receiving treatment for various sports-related injuries himself. He spent seven years working in Queensland in private practice and aged care but has returned home to Melbourne this year to continue his osteopathic practice.

Shehan takes a holistic, structural approach to treating acute and chronic injuries. He is certified in Dry Needling and Level 1 Strength and Conditioning through ASCA. He leverages his background as a strength and conditioning coach to design personalised exercise programs to aid in injury rehabilitation, prevention, and enhancing athletic performance.

​Shehan focuses on identifying the root cause of injury. He enjoys treating back, neck, and shoulder pain, headaches and a wide range of sports-related injuries.

Outside of work, Shehan is an avid sports enthusiast, following AFL, tennis, and MMA. He also enjoys staying active through gym training and running.
Dr. Suheyla Balkis
B.App.Sc (CompMed - Osteo) & B.H.Sc
Suheyla became interested in osteopathy after experiencing positive results from manual therapy. During her time as a student, she became a qualified sports trainer. Having worked in football clubs she has gained valuable experience working with acute sporting related injuries and rehabilitation.

Suheyla has also worked in aged care, treated various chronic health conditions with a focus on pain relief. She loves working with all types of patients to aid recovery, decrease pain and improve their overall quality of life.​

She is always eager to learn more and develop her skills and has completed further study in myofascial dry needling and cupping. Using a variety of osteopathic techniques, Suheyla tailors her treatment to the individual, focusing on a holistic approach. ​

When she is not working, Suheyla enjoys staying active by going to the gym and spending plenty of time outdoors going on hikes
Dr. Kiara Jarvis
B.Sc (Osteopathy) & M.H.Sc (Osteopathy)
Kiara's Interest in osteopathy grew naturally from her long involvement in movement, circus coaching and performance. After experiencing multiple injuries herself and seeing first hand the impact osteopathy had on her recovery, she was instantly drawn to a profession that combined hands-on treatment with a holistic understanding of how people move, recover and perform at their best.

Throughout her studies, Kiara gained experience in a variety of clinical, performance and sporting environments; supporting patients with acute injuries, load management challenges and long term rehabilitation goals. She enjoys helping people build confidence in their bodies and values clear communication, collaborative care and evidence-informed practice.

Kiara uses a range of osteopathic techniques and has done further study in myofascial dry needling and cupping. She has a particular interest in functional movement, injury prevention, exercise rehabilitation and supporting patients to return to the activities that matter most to them - whether that's sport, work or daily life. She is passionate about helping patients feel empowered, confident, and supported throughout their health journey.

Outside the clinic, Kiara enjoys spending time with her community, dog sitting and staying active through circus training, bouldering and volleyball.

They hold a combination of Masters degrees and Bachelor degrees in the health science field.
